YANG Heein, Ph.D.

Lumir-inc, Korea.

YANG Heein is project manager of the development of SAR data and image processor (SARDIP) at Lumir, Korea. He has received his Ph. D from Chiba University, Japan in 2019. His major research topic was the development of the phase error compensation algorithm for direct digital synthesizer (DDS) based chirp signal generator for high-resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR). Since 2018, he is working in New Space venture company Lumir and has accomplished several R&D projects. In particular, he has completed multi-channel SAR (MCSAR) development project successfully which utilizes 3-band (C, X, Ku-band) for SAR mission simultaneously. His role was project management, the development of DDS board, SAR image processing, and SAR operations. In addition, he is participating in small-satellite aboard SAR system development project as system and mission design. His major role is the project manager of SARDIP development which is SAR image processing software. Since 2020, he is also working as lecturer at Ajou University, Department of Space Electronics and Information Engineering, Korea.
His major interests are small satellite system design, SAR image processing, SAR application, and the integration of image processing techniques between several sensor images.
